WELCOME TO THE GRANGE SCHOOL
There are many good schools. The most important aspect when selecting one is whether it is right for your child. Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever have to make so we hope that the information we have provided here helps you in that choice.
VISIT OUR SCHOOL
The Grange School is a very popular and successful school, but we are always delighted to meet new parents. We can arrange to show you and your family around the school during the working day, so that you can judge for yourself if it is the school that best suits your child's needs. Should you wish to make an appointment to visit the school, please contact our school administrative staff on 01327 705785.
Our school vision is for every child to achieve their full potential.
We are extremely proud of our children and want them to love coming to school and to be enthusiastic and successful learners.
Family and parental involvement in children's learning makes a difference to their happiness, achievement and learning in schools.......it improves motivation, behaviour and self esteem.
If you think you could offer a helping hand in one of our classes please ask for more information at the main office.
Do you want to train as a teacher?
Our school is a lead school for the 'Inspire Northamptonshire Teaching School Alliance'. Our School Direct Training Route is in partnership with the University of Northamptonshire. This form of training offers you an opportunity to become more immersed in school life so that you are well prepared to meet the demands of a teaching role when you qualify with QTS and with a PGCE. It is the aim of our School Direct Programme to provide a network of opportunities to facilitate employment at the end of the course. The initial Teacher Training that we offer is School Direct Primary: aged 5-11

The Grange School, along with Hall Meadow Primary in Kettering and Bliss Charity School in Nether Heyford have become a National Teaching School. Teaching Schools take a leading role in recruiting and training new entrants to the profession, identifying leadership potential and providing support for other schools.
Our teaching school is called 'Inspire' and we are one of only 60 schools in England to be granted teaching school status in the latest round.
Introduced in 2011, Teaching Schools are all rated as "outstanding". They work with partner schools in alliance to ensure high quality school-led initial teacher training and professional development opportunities for teachers at all stages of their career.
They raise standards through school-to-school support, engage in research and development, and ensure that the most talented school leaders are spotted and supported to become successful headteachers.
Gaynor Yates, Principal, said: "We are delighted to launch 'Inspire' Teaching School with our partner schools. We are committed to continue working in the local area to provide opportunities for teachers, and prospective teachers, to make a difference to young peoples' lives."
The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) has responsibility, in partnership with headteachers from the Teaching Schools Council, for the designation and quality of the Teaching Schools programme.
Charlie Taylor, the Chief Executive of (NCTL, said: "There are now 600 Teaching Schools around the country with more to follow. They are at the heart of an increasingly school-led system, leading the way in improving the quality of our teachers and helping the schools in their partnership to become even better. Like Teaching Hospitals, they have become centres of excellence across the country, conducting research and training teachers."
