As busy as ever!

We're all now very firmly settled back into the new school term and as usual, we've all been incredibly busy. We've had lots of visitors to the school recently and we've all been extremely impressed with the children's learning behaviours and the quality of the work we've seen. We were recently visited by Andrew Mackereth and Dawn Latham for The Parker E-ACT Academy, who spent some time in Year 6 classrooms. Today we have been visited by Councillor Matthew Golby, Cabinet Member for Learning, Skills and Education, who has spent the afternoon in school, visiting many classrooms and observing lots of different learning activities. Our visitors have been impressed by standards here at The Grange School and have been very complimentary.
Our extra-curricula clubs have begun again this week and it's lovely to see so many children participating once again. Some of our children have begun rehearsing pieces for the Summer Show, which seems a long way in the future, but the weeks will soon fly by!
Our latest parent sessions - 'Healthy cooking on a budget' - have begun and are very popular; with many parents cooking with their children. The results so far have been fabulous and the smell that wafts from the Food Technology Room is very tempting. Look out for details of our next course of parent sessions, in the near future.
It will soon be Parents' Evening (27/1/16 and 4/2/16) and we look forward to welcoming you all into the school, to talk about your child's progress. Remember, we pride ourselves on our 100% attendance rate at Parents' Evenings and so, if you haven't already made an appointment we would urge you to do so please. In conjunction with this, our Book Fair will be open - straight after school - from Wednesday 27th January to Monday 1st February.
On February 9th 2016, we will be marking the annual Safer Internet Day, which is run in schools across the country to further promote E-Safety. Letters are coming out to you very soon. Please also look out for the Parents' sessions we will be holding to help you support your child in this area.
Remember our weekly newsletter is always available on this website, where you can keep fully informed of all upcoming events.
