A buzz in the air!

It's been such a busy term and we can't believe it's already drawing to a close.
All children have continued to work hard. Year 2 and Year 6 children, have almost completed their SATs tasks and tests. Well done to them all for showing determination, perseverance and resilience over the year to reach this point.
Everyone is enjoying their current theme work and we often meet excited children around school, and in classrooms, who are desperate to tell us about their latest piece of work. There's a real buzz in the air! This is especially true of maths and reading at the moment. We have all been impressed with the way in which children are engaging with their maths work and again, children excitedly show and talk about their work. The children are enjoying taking part in maths investigations and solving maths problems on their way to becoming truly independent mathematicians.
The library received a makeover during the Easter holidays, which included the purchase of a great many new books. The children have been so excited about this and can often be heard talking about the latest books or authors. The latest purchase (which is still to be put into the library) will excite the children even further. They already know that we've ordered lots of new poetry books and we look forward to seeing how the children will respond to these. They were certainly excited when we told them about the order!
As we approach the last week of term, plans for 2016's Summer Show are well under way and rehearsals will begin as soon as we arrive back after the half term break. This always causes a buzz around school and it is a lovely time of year for everyone. We will keep you updated with everything you need to know about this year's show and look forward to seeing you all at the theatre at the end of June.
