Our new homework sheets are designed to allow children to rehearse and practise the skills they have been learning in class. All home work sent home is age appropriate. If it sometimes seems easy, it will be a particular skill that the children need to practise regularly. If you feel your child’s homework is too challenging, please speak to the class teacher. However, we would like to reassure you that all homework concepts have been previously taught in lessons.

Improving Handwriting and Presentation

We’re working hard to make the improvements Ofsted identified that we need to make. We’ve not been happy with our handwriting scheme for a while, as we felt it wasn’t having the impact it should. So we’ve invested in a new scheme and have begun teaching it to the children. We’re working hard to ensure that every child forms all letters correctly so don’t be surprised to see your child with letter formation practise, even if their work appears neat. It’s about 100% consistency. We’ll be adding resources to the Parent Resource area if you wish to support your child at home. Please help yourselves.
