Useful Files for Children
This last term of Year 4 we are continuing our topic “Our Cool Capital” we will be learning about famous tourist attractions such as The Tower of London, The London Eye and Buckingham Palace. In Science we are learning about solids, liquids and gases and how these change state by heating and cooling. In PSHE our theme is “Changing Me” where we will be finding out about how our bodies change when we grow up. Please can we remind you that the children require their PE kit in school each day.
Year 4 have had an exciting term; a group of children had an amazing time at Kingswood. They enjoyed challenging themselves on the Zip wire and Jacob’s ladder. The children who stayed at school had a lovely time preparing their tropical island food, pretending they were shipwrecked.
We are looking forward to our trip to the Country Park where we will be doing all sorts of activities relating to habitats. We are hoping that the weather will be dry, however, if rain is forecast, children will need to wear a good coat and sensible footwear.
We all thoroughly enjoyed science week and the children have learned a lot about electrical circuits. They now know how to create an electrical circuit and how to use a switch to break a circuit. They have also learned about the materials that conduct or insulate electricity.
We wish you all a lovely Easter holiday.
