Year 4 Updates!
Year 4 have had an exciting term; a group of children had an amazing time at Kingswood. They enjoyed challenging themselves on the Zip wire and Jacob’s ladder. The children who stayed at school had a lovely time preparing their tropical island food, pretending they were shipwrecked.
We are looking forward to our trip to the Country Park where we will be doing all sorts of activities relating to habitats. We are hoping that the weather will be dry, however, if rain is forecast, children will need to wear a good coat and sensible footwear.
We all thoroughly enjoyed science week and the children have learned a lot about electrical circuits. They now know how to create an electrical circuit and how to use a switch to break a circuit. They have also learned about the materials that conduct or insulate electricity.
We wish you all a lovely Easter holiday.
This term our theme is ‘Catastrophe’ where we will be learning about the geography of volcanoes, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis.
In Science we will be learning about electricity, sound and how to set and conduct investigations.
In RE we will be learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam and the Mosque and our dreams and goals will be discussed in PSHE.
The children will be enjoying Dance on a Wednesday and Gymnastics on a Thursday, please ensure that the children have their PE kits in school on these days.
