Oversubscription Criteria for The Grange School

This is taken in accordance with the guidelines set out by Northamptonshire County Council Admissions Team.

Places will be allocated to pupils who have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) that names the school as appropriate provision.  When there are more applications for places than there are places available, priority will be given in the following order:

  1. Children in public care or previously in public care but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption, residence or special guardianship order.

  1. Pupils who live in the linked area.

  1. Pupils with an older brother or sister continuing at the school at the time of admission of the younger child.

  1. Pupils who live closer to the school than any other school.

  1. Other pupils.

Allocation of Places up to PAN

If the admission number is exceeded within any criterion priority will be given to those who live closest to the school.

Tiebreaker

Where there are two or more applications that cannot otherwise be separated a randomiser will be used to decide who is allocated a place.
