Mrs Clare Ley

Head Teacher

I am delighted to have been appointed as the new headteacher for E- ACT The Grange and I am very
much looking forward to getting to know all our pupils, parents, carers and staff over the next couple
of weeks. As I step into this role, I am excited for the journey ahead and deeply committed to working alongside you to provide the best possible educational experience for our children.

Mrs Laura Waldock

Assistant Head Teacher

As Assistant Head Teacher, Mrs Waldock is the third member of the school's Senior Leadership Team. In her role, she has areas of specific responsibility; mostly focused around continuing to improve the quality of teaching and learning across the school. Although Mrs Waldock's role is mostly a practical one, she also has strategic responsibility for some focused areas too. Mrs Waldock has recently taken back the role of Languages Lead in the school and leads a team who champion both English and French. Mrs Waldock really enjoys her role, as this allows her to spend time from Reception to Year 6 and in every year group between!

Mrs Rebecca Duncton

STEM Curriculum Lead

Mrs Duncton is part of our Extended Leadership team and alongside her teaching role (in Year 6), she also has focused areas of responsibility. Mrs Duncton is passionate about providing children with the confidence, knowledge and skills to succeed in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) subjects. She leads a team of staff who champion these subjects in school. She is also responsible for ensuring that all Year 6 children transition smoothly - and happily - to secondary school. Mrs Duncton cares deeply about improving the life chances of every single child in our school.

Mrs Janice Hennessy

Operational Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Hennessy is a member of our Extended Leadership Team and is responsible for safeguarding all children in the school. Her job is a demanding one, which involves her knowing every child well! Mrs Hennessy is who the children go to if they have a problem - little or large - and she also supports parents and staff with their wellbeing. Mrs Hennessy is passionate about ensuring that all children have their needs met and works with a wide range of services and agencies to ensure that this is the case.

Mrs Elaine Wagg

Deputy Head Teacher

As Deputy Head Teacher, Mrs Wagg has strategic responsibility for particular areas of school life. She is also Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. This year, the majority of Mrs Wagg's work will focus around ensuring that there is 'equity' within the school; that all children receive the provision they need in order to succeed - both academically and personally, socially and emotionally. This is an area that Mrs Wagg is passionate about and the growing success of our Changemakers initiative is due to her vision and leadership. Mrs Wagg especially enjoys leading Recorders Club and Majorettes.

Mrs Louise Harris

Creative Pedagogy & EYFS Lead

Mrs Harris is a member of our Extended Leadership Team, which gives her specific responsibilities within the school. Her focused responsibility is for Early Years provision and she has successfully led the school to successive Ofsted 'Good' judgements. Across the school, Mrs Harris is Creative Pedagogy Lead which allows her to focus on improving the quality of teaching & learning through supporting staff to teach in more innovative and exciting ways. Mrs Harris is passionate about the benefits of outdoor learning and will be focusing on improving our use of this beyond the early years.
